Inspired by my sister Amelia, who thinks that decorating your home in preparation for a sporting event increases the chances of your team winning, I have started on path to make some Euro 2012 decor in support of mein Mannschaft, the German national team.
I went with the accordion streamers I saw on a co-worker’s Pinterest board.
[For those interested in measurements: I used one sheet of bristol board each in black, red, and yellow. The rectangles I cut for each streamer were 4" by however long the short side of the bristol board is (slightly less than 24" I think). I made the individual cuts 1/2" wide rather than 1" wide.]

I am also thinking of making these start lamps (not as lamps), again one each in black, red, and yellow because three represents the number of European Championships Germany has won. [Decor should have SYMBOLISM!]
I don’t now i I think it improves my team’s chance of winning (ok, I do!) but it’s more like “I did my part, now you do yours”. I think you are provided much needed crossover between the sports world and the awesome hand-made crafts world.
It’s true, I do fill an niche in the very tiny crafting/sports world.
I’m part of that world too!!!!
