- I tend to not do a lot of research about a movie before I see it, so I tend to rely solely on what the trailer gives me as the gist of the story. Sometimes this backfires as the trailer can leave out an incredibly huge part of the story, as was the case with this movie. Yes, as both the trailer and the IMDB synopsis would have you believe, this movie is about a mother whose child goes missing only to have someone else’s child returned to her. What they don’t hint at anywhere is the part where some random guy kidnapped and murdered upwards of twenty little boys in what eventually became called the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders. I don’t need to watch movies about little kids getting kidnapped and murdered, thanks, so this was a rather stomach-turning revelation. The discovery of these murders and the subsequent trial to convict the murderer took up most of the second half of the film (if not more), which was rather unbearable.
- I want to work somewhere that lets me wear roller skates in the workplace.
- John Malkovich is not in this that much despite his headlining status.
- Actually, I don’t really have too much to say about this one. I feel ill.
Changeling
When I think of changelings, I can only picture Odo from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
IMDB Plot Synopsis A mother's prayer for her kidnapped son to return home is answered, though it doesn't take long for her to suspect the boy who comes back is not hers.
