- What I never picked up on in the trailer was that not only is Charlie Bartlett the self-appointed psychiatrist to his high school, he’s also their prescription drug provider. This provided a somewhat distasteful slant to the movie for me.
- Anton Yelchin always sounds like he’s got a stuffed up nose. He was rather endearing, but I don’t think that type of voice will carry him very far into adulthood.
- Robert Downey Jr. is a really fantastic actor. I always forget this until he pops up somewhere and makes the movie worth seeing. I should really seek out more of his back catalogue.
- Tyler Hilton FTW. He was so obnoxious on One Tree Hill and he’s completely obnoxious in this too, but in a really transparent ironic way. When they cleaned him up to go on the date with the cheerleader who’d slept with half the football team? Awesome.
- For some reason I went into this thinking it was rated PG, so I was shocked at all the swearing and vaguely racy material.
- Lameass reviews like this are what happen when I don’t review a movie immediately after seeing it. That being said, there’s not much to this movie so maybe the review would have ended up like this anyway.
