- Charming!
- I liked the throwback to everyone’s other favourite fox movie, Disney’s completely awesome Robin Hood, when they played “Love” quietly in the background of one of the scenes.
- Mr. Fox’s obsession with heists and elaborately concocted plans to rob not one but three
casinosfarms was a little Danny Ocean-esque and I blame George Clooney’s presence for making me think this. - I really, really loved Kylie. To pieces. PIECES!
- I know Wes Anderson’s “Wes Anderson”-ness is starting to grate on people’s nerves with its preciousness and carefully constructed scenes, but I still love him. I intensely admire his commitment to composition and colour and wish more people would carefully consider these things. I loved how even though this was a completely different film-making format for him, visually and verbally it still felt like any one of his other films. I’d have his babies, I don’t care.
- I liked that Meryl Streep didn’t sound like Meryl Streep. Bill Murray was too Bill Murray and not… badgery enough? I have no idea. Ash, voiced by Jason Schwartzman, was fantastically full of angst.
- I didn’t realise that ABKCO ever released anything other than the Rolling Stones’ back catalogue from the 1960s, but upon further research they’ve done a lot of other soundtracks for Anderson (and others), not just this one.
- I really don’t have anything else to say other than it was pretty enjoyable. Sorry, my New Moon review seems to have sucked me dry of my critical faculties.
