Kung Fu Panda

Jack Black doing the same thing he always does in movies, only with less swearing.

IMDB Plot Synopsis Po the Panda is the laziest animals in all of the Valley of Peace, but unwittingly becomes the chosen one when enemies threaten their way of life.

  1. I only went to see this because it was so effing hot and two hours of not sitting in a hot apartment sounded pretty good. It was a choice between this and Zohan, and since I won’t touch Adam Sandler movies with a ten foot pole, it was the panda movie.
  2. I know this is common knowledge and obviously my heat stroke clouded my judgement, but don’t got to a matinée of a kids film ever.
  3. I don’t hate talking animals when they’re animated. As a rule, animated animals should talk, I think.
  4. The style used at the start of the film during Po’s dream was pretty cool.
  5. I don’t usually pay too much attention to sound design in movies because I’m more visual than auditory, but there was this great part where Po accidentally gets trapped in the Furious Five’s training equipment and as he’s bouncing around these movable columns with spikes on them, they’ve used pinball machine sound effects, which I thought was fun.
  6. This movie is pretty much what you think it will be based on the trailer, only I was surprised to find it was funnier than I thought it would be.
