This week on poorly planned ticket sales: they announced that Liverpool would take on Spurs in Baltimore as part of their North American tour and naturally by the time I got home from work and heard about it, the LFC supporters section ticket allotment had already sold out in the pre-sale. How do you have a pre-sale for a game that just got announced today?
Naturally, I panicked. Boston is going to be a huge game and I didn’t want to run the risk of not getting tickets to either match so I quickly spent too much money on two tickets before I could change my mind. I’ve had a very, very bad week at work and so this is my gift to myself. (Don’t knock rationalization.) The five minutes I’ve spent researching Baltimore have turned up a variety of museums I’m excited about plus we’re going to an Orioles game in the evening on the same day as the LFC game, so that should be fun.
When I woke up today, I really did not think it would end with me planning a vacation to Baltimore. Guys, I’m officially someone who takes sports vacations. Oops.
1) I love that you take sports vacations!
2) I love the link to The Big Chill, out of all the lines I have committed to memory, that one gets stuck in my head the most
3) I’m really excited for Baltimore!!
