- The university buildings where Dustin Hoffmann’s character worked were so ugly I was convinced it was filmed at my alma mater. [It wasn't.]
- You know that bit in Fight Club where they make the screen look like an Ikea catalogue? They did a similar thing to that in this movie, only it was counting and recording all of Harold Crick’s obsessive observations, which was sort of neat.
- BUSTER BLUTH AT SPACE CAMP FTW.
- Emma Thompson saving her cigarettes in damp Kleenexes for later was absolutely disgusting, ew.
- Harold’s guitar amp goes to eleven. (!)
- I like Will Ferrell more and more every time I see him in something. This is alarming, as I always hope that the careers of people on SNL will whither and die when they leave the show for the silver screen.
- I like a comedy that’s funny in an intelligent way. Stranger Than Fiction is pretty much the exact opposite of Borat as a result. There were some pretty hysterical lines revolving around the idea of anarchist needlepoint groups.
