EURO 2012 IS UNFOLDING AS IT SHOULD! The group stage is over (for me, at least) and I can stop having a heart attack every five seconds.
This picture makes it look like the result was better than it was. Alas.
What is breathing, I ask you. This is not at all how I thought this game would go.
I think it probably says a lot about where this team is that I’m thankful for a draw at home to a team lower in the table.
I’m not even kidding, the cat may have been the highlight of the match.
I know that extreme lows make for even more enjoyable highs, but this is also emotionally exhausting.
Andy Carroll instigated what may have just become my favourite Liverpool goal celebration this season (not that there are that many to choose from, of course). It makes Maxi look like a small child.
Yesterday, Luis Suarez was handed an eight game ban and fined £40,000 by the FA. As part of the continuing bizarre way in which the club is responding to the verdict, the team warmed up for the Wigan match wearing shirts featuring Suarez on the front and his name and number on the back to show their support for him. Oh, and he wore one too. Because why not.
Well, our away form remains intact.
