the Russians are coming

Things that have really dropped off my radar in the last year: crafting! It occurred to me I could be more productive while watching soccer on Saturday and Sunday mornings so I put ye olde sewing machine on the coffee table, dug up the half-square triangle project I started working on a zillion years ago, and got to work. For Lisa’s benefit:

I have about four metric tons of fabric scraps left over from other projects and after seeing half-square triangles made out of strips, I decided that would be the route I would take. I pieced the orange blocks around a year ago, but did the yellow, green, and blue on Saturday.

This isn’t the final layout by any means, just how I’m currently choosing to lay things out on the floor. Half-square triangles can be put together in innumerable ways so I’ll probably re-evaluate once I double the number of blocks I currently have.
