- I’m quite convinced that the dinosaur noises coming out of Rex’s mouth at the start were from the T-Rex in Jurassic Park. I have no proof of this, but it must be true.
- The part in the incinerator was really, really scary for a kids’ movie.
- There were some stylistic things that I did not like at all. Mrs. Potato Head’s “Second Eye Vision” kept putting me out of the story, as did the flashback to Daisy’s childhood.
- When the garbage man picked up Lotso and tied him to the front grill of the truck, I was secretly hoping it would be Sid all grown up.
- “Yelling Tom Hanks” is a sub-genre of film that my sisters and I rather enjoy.
- I did not enjoy the unhilarious Ken Is Obviously Gay subplot. Also, I don’t understand why earlier in the movie both he and Barbie walked stiffly because they could not bend their knees, but then suddenly when Ken starts playing fashion show he is incredibly flexible. I guess having extra pizazz will do that to you.
- I like it when Timothy Dalton shows up in stuff.
- Why do kids in movies always drive themselves to college?
- I don’t have much to say about this other than that if you liked the first one, you’ll probably like this one since 80% of the jokes are the same or similar without that kind of repetition being a bad thing. THE CLAW!
Toy Story 3
All in all, there are definitely worse movies playing right now.
IMDB Plot Synopsis Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college.
I think Sid was the garbage man who was rockin’ out to the music. If you look, he has the same shirt.
Oh my god, did he really? I didn’t notice! But this brings me lots of joy.
I dunno, isn’t Ken a metrosexual? I didn’t see anything directly “gay” about Ken as much as I thought it was more about heterosexual identity. After all, he is a “girls’ toy” as he says – I think the sexuality of the toys is more simple and familiarized, and they only recognize obvious heterosexual models.
The world of homophobic toys is an interesting hypothetical sequel.
I initially read the toy itself as metrosexual but his storyline being one of OMG GAY on behalf of the other toys.
Wiki says for the cast listed on Toy Story 3, Sid Phillips voiced by Erik von Detten in Toy Story was also in the third one as Sid aka Rockin’ Out Garbage man. That is awsome!
